Breast Screening
#breastfootforward – October is breast cancer awareness month
Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer in the UK, mostly affecting women over the age of 50, but younger women, and men can also get breast cancer. About 1 in 8 women are diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifetime. Remember, when breast cancer is spotted early, treatment is more likely to be successful.
Thanks to research, treatments are kinder and more effective than ever.
